Arthrex Ranked No. 4 on TIME Magazine’s List of America’s Best Private Companies
September 2, 2026 6:10 pm
Arthrex has been ranked No. 4 on TIME Magazine’s list of the 500 Best Private Companies in America.
“This is a powerful recognition of our unique culture and continuous reinvestment in infrastructure and programs that benefit our healthcare professional customers, employees, their families and our community,” said President and Founder Reinhold Schmieding. “Remaining private allowed Arthrex to create a special work environment that reflects a culture of being Arthrex Proud that our customers notice and our employees cherish.”
According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, being private “allows a company space to invest in and grow its business over a longer period without the same pressure to meet short-term financial targets.” Additionally, “private companies can more freely experiment with new technology and innovation.”
To identify leaders in this space, TIME partnered with data firm Statista to analyze private companies across the country. The companies on the list ranked high on both employee satisfaction surveys and their positive net impact on society, global knowledge and health, and the environment.
Arthrex was the highest-ranking healthcare and medical technology company on TIME’s list.
Arthrex creates more than 1,000 new innovations a year, helping more than 20 million patients globally.
Arthrex has also been recognized with a Decade of Great award, as well as other awards, from Great Place to Work® and Fortune Magazine, which measures employee engagement, morale and experience working for Arthrex.
