MARK A. GLICKMAN

President & CEO

Mark Glickman is the current President & CEO of BioFlorida, a statewide organization dedicated to advancing the life sciences industry. In his role, he directs the company’s overall strategy to enhance Florida’s competitiveness as a top global location for the industry. Under Mark’s leadership, BioFlorida focuses on serving its members, creating a positive business and legislative environment, advancing research commercialization, and collaborating with various sectors to promote scientific progress, support existing companies, launch startups, and attract new business and talent to Florida.

Under Mark’s leadership, BioFlorida focuses on serving its members, creating a positive business and legislative environment, advancing research commercialization, and collaborating with various sectors to promote scientific progress, support existing companies, launch startups, and attract new business and talent to Florida.

Mr. Glickman has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry where he began his life sciences career as a diagnostic sales representative and progressed in roles of increasing responsibility to senior executive positions. Mr. Glickman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from S.U.N.Y Oswego, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and International Management from the N.Y.U. Stern School of Business. Mark Glickman is currently a Member of The Board of Directors for Neurobo Pharmaceuticals.

TARA ANN COLEMAN

Chief Operating Officer

Tara Ann Coleman joined BioFlorida in 2009 and is currently the Chief Operating Officer. In this position, she oversees the general office operations for BioFlorida and provides administrative support to the CEO, staff and Board of Directors. Tara’s skills include reporting, marketing strategy, volunteer management, data analysis and contract management. She is responsible for overseeing the financials and providing analysis to guide the company’s strategic initiatives. Additionally, Tara manages the company’s member discount programs and plays an influential role in organizing and fundraising for statewide conferences, including the Annual Conference and the Celebration of Biotechnology.

Tara has a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (molecular) with a minor in public administration from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA with a specialization in entrepreneurial management from Lynn University.

IAN LEVENTHAL

SVP, Business Development

Ian Leventhal joined BioFlorida in 2019 and is currently the Senior Vice President of Business Development. In this role, he is responsible for growing BioFlorida’s membership, increasing sponsorship for the organization and developing preferred supplier relationships across the state.

Ian previously served as BioFlorida’s Sponsorship Chairman for five years and was also active in BioFlorida Chapter Leadership committees in Sarasota/Bradenton and Tampa Bay.

Ian brings 15 years of executive recruiting experience in the Life Sciences and Health System industries to BioFlorida. He was the Managing Partner for AP Professionals of Florida, a search firm located in Lakewood Ranch dedicated to the life science industry and previously spent ten years taking on increasing responsibility at other life sciences-oriented recruiting firms.

Ian previously chaired the Employer Advisory Council for Goodwill Manasota, was a member of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce Healthcare committee and served on the Sarasota/Manatee EDC Healthcare Innovation Project committee. Ian earned a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University.

LORRIE ALBINSON

VP, Strategy & Marketing

Lorrie Albinson is currently the Vice President, Strategy and Marketing.  In her role, Lorrie is responsible for overseeing, developing, and employing strategic initiatives and marketing efforts to achieve long- and short-term organizational goals which will shape the future of BioFlorida.

Lorrie is dedicated to steering our organization towards enduring success by elevating brand awareness, cultivating a dynamic and collaborative environment through cross-functional partnerships, and communicating with influence and purpose.  Her commitment and track record of driving impactful marketing initiatives, a former member of BioFlorida (Palm Beach County chapter), combined with her dynamic communication style, will allow her to bring value to Florida’s thriving life science community.

Lorrie is an experienced commercial leader in Marketing, Sales Leadership, and Learning/Development within the pharmaceutical space.  She has held roles at Mylan (Viatris), Eisai, Watson (AbbVie), Shionogi, Duchesnay USA/Canada, and TherapeuticsMD.  Over the course of Lorrie’s career, she has accomplished diverse skill sets and perspectives that resulted in various awards and recognition.

Lorrie holds a BS in Nutritional Science, Dietetics from Rutgers University and an MBA, Marketing from Centenary University.  Certified in Emotional Intelligence and DiSC Personality Assessments for Management, Lorrie brings a unique blend of innovation, advocacy, and passion to her role. As an active member of various professional organizations and charities, Lorrie exemplifies her dedication to making a positive impact both within and beyond the workplace.

JESSICA MANCHETTE

Manager, Programs & Member Services

Jessica Manchette joined BioFlorida in 2024 and is currently the Manager of Programs and Member Services.  In this role, she is responsible for planning and executing programs and events in collaboration with member, community organizations and external partners.

Jessica brings 14 years of nonprofit experience in education and programming to BioFlorida. She also led the College Access Action Team for Future Ready Collier, a collaborative network of over 60 organizations focused on ensuring every young person has a plan for life after high school. She has served as a statewide content leader in college access, developing and training hundreds of volunteers and counselors each year. She is a graduate of Florida Southwestern State College and earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.

Jessica is a 2020 graduate of Leadership Collier. In 2019 she was named a “College Ready Innovator of the Year” by the Florida College Access Network (FCAN). She was also recognized as one of Gulfshore Business’ 40 Under 40 in 2019.  Jessica has appeared on NBC’s Today Show, where she was named “America’s Savviest Saver”.
